A friend recently wrote me about experiencing fear and panic while going out for a new job. I’ve been there. The paralyzing panic attacks are all too familiar (and I’m not naturally inclined towards panic!). I’m *so* sorry anyone goes through this.
Here’s what’s helped me in those times. This is what I meditate on:
His Name is the Hope of all the earth. He is your Protector, Provider, and Promoter. He exalts and He humbles. He sets up rulers and leaders. Your times are in His hand. Nothing can separate you from His love. Neither death nor life, nor money nor poverty, nor promotion nor demotion. This decision has no reflection on who you are, who He is, how much He loves you, and how much He believes in you. There is nothing that can happen to you that He doesn’t allow. He’s got this. And He knows how to give good gifts to His children. And He knows the plans and purposes He has for you. Rejoice when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have it’s perfect result, so you will be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. He has set you in a broad place. He has delivered you because He delights in you. God is good and I can trust Him no matter what. All the time. No matter what.
You’ve got this. Go in the strength that you have. Trust the Lord for the outcome.
