I was giving Justice a bath in Nana’s wash room. Joseph was watching and “helping.” He was standing on a stool right in between the mending station and the sink.
He looked over at Nana’s collection of mending items and points out a thimble. “Mama, what’s that?”
“It’s a thimble.”
“It’s for putting on your finger so that when you’re mending something with a needle and thread, you don’t accidentally stick your finger with a needle.”
He thinks about it for a second and responds, “No, Mama, it’s for Monopowy.”
I laughed! “That’s right Jo-fish. It’s also used as a Monopoly game piece.”
