• Joseph told me he loved me for the first time.  It was on December 15.  I was putting him to bed and I said, “Joseph, I love you.”  And he imitated it right back to me, “I ub oo.”  Aww!  My heart TOTALLY melted.
  • Joseph also is saying/imitating other words fairly consistently, like “buh-buh” (bye bye), “hi”, “beh-beh” (baby), “uh-ooh”, and sometimes “ma maaa” (mama) and “deh-deh” (daddy).  He also has started throwing things intentionally, climbing stairs, stacking blocks, coloring, and bending down to try to pick things up.  So happy about these milestones!
  • The first word probably was “hi.”  He says it the most, and always with the biggest smile on his face.  That, and uh-ooh.  Siah has started correcting him: “Joseph, it’s not an uh-oh if you do it on puhpose!”
  • Joseph also has started signing for “more.”  He’s had the sign for “hello” for 7 months, but he just started “more” last week.
  • Joseph makes a fish-face to give kisses.  He also “blows” kisses by tapping his mouth and making a kiss sound.
  • Button and Siah are growing too fast.  Their waists still fit into their clothes, but both their little legs have shot out so EVERYTHING looks like shorts or koolots on them.
