We were down at Niki’s parents’ house this weekend.  It was the perfect autumn weekend – in the 60s, sunny, and all the trees were stunning.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fall as beautiful as this one.

We walked all the way over to the beach by the lake where we had our baptism service for church this past summer.  As we were standing at the top of the hill and the kids were running down towards the lake, the wind skipped through a beautiful tree of gold across the beach.
I loved watching my kids, full of joy, with the leaves of gold cascading from the tree behind them, falling delicately to the ground.  It was the perfect autumn memory.  And I am so thankful that I was there, in that moment, to watch all that gold, see all those smiles, and hear all that laughter.
